Ruthy Jackson Obituary

Born June 10, 1944 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to the union of Hester Icey Lee Williams and Glen Moore, a beautiful baby girl was born who her mother named Ruthy Lee. Ruthy attended and graduated from the Anadarko School system and later was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. Ozzie McDonald and to this union 3 children were born, Annette, Sidney and Harvey (deceased). In later years, Ruthy met and married Mr. Leo Jackson Jr. and to this union 3 children were born, Scott, Melanee (deceased) and Leona and they were now the proud parents of 5 beautiful children. Ruthy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, auntie, mother, grandmother and friend as she embraced every title that was placed upon her. Ruthy was a free spirit who enjoyed life to its fullest. She was a dog lover and as a military wife she enjoyed traveling. As a sports fan she enjoyed bowling, watching the KY Derby, Wimbledon, football and going to football games. She was a football mom, a Girl Scout leader, loved to do ceramics and reading romance books was like a second religion! She loved the Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas Cowboys, and Seattle Seahawks (because of Russell Wilson) and she shouted with exhilaration for their victories!!!! Even more than sports and travel, Ruthy loved the Lord. She was a devout member and tither of Saint Paul United Methodist Church (OK) and church mother of Deliverance Tabernacle Church of God in Christ (CO), Ruthy worked untiringly for the progress of the church and the upbuilding of the Kingdom of God. Ruthy achieved her medical transcriptionist certification in Kaiserslautern, Germany and worked on weekends at the Officers club while in Germany, Maremont in Chickasha, Oklahoma and Atmel Corporation in Colorado Springs, Colorado until her retirement in 2008. On October 8, 2020 Ruthy transitioned from labor to reward, welcomed in Heaven by Jesus and reunited with her parents, 4 sisters, 6 brothers, 1 brother-in-love, 1 son, 2 grandsons, 1 daughter, 1 son in law and many other friends and family members. Ruthy is survived by her children, Annette Ball Stearne (Rodney), Sidney, and Leona, all of Colorado Springs, CO and Scott (Shelly) of Pullayup, WA. Her sister, Shirley Bradley and Step-Sister Tracye Wiley of Anadarko, Oklahoma and her two Sisters-in-love, Lillie Pearl Barker-Chapman, (AL), and Gloria Moore, (TX). Her loving grandchildren: Johnathan, Anthony, Stephanie, Kejuanaia (Gerrod), Clifford, Chestina, Shante’, Sidney Jr., Cherelle, Johanna (Tislam), Christoffer, James, Darien, Chloe’, Cedric, Gabriella, Brooke, Zyshaun, A’Lexus, Jaylan and Amaya. Her Great Grandchildren: Marqel, Amir, Zaireonna, Ordena, Brandon-Mattoe, Kevin, Lilana-Rose, Damaurius (Gator), London, Sahar’ra, Courtney III, Alana and Akarius. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family. Ruthy is also survived by her beloved companion of 4 years Mr. Scooby. Ruthy was preceded in death by her son Harvey Ozzie McDonald, daughter, Melanee Jean Jackson, son in law Anthony Ball, and grandsons Anthony Michael Bland and Sir Croix Alexander Armstrong
