Remembering the Life of Phillip Lawernce Tinnin III
On the bright morning of January 6, 1983 a bouncing baby boy was born to Diane DeBose-Montoya and Phillip Lawrence Tinnin II and he was named Phillip Lawrence Tinnin III. Phillip was one of 6 children. Later in his life Phillip gain a bonus dad, Levi Montoya where he was taught the ropes of life.
Phillip gained his education through the Denver Public School system and graduated from Montbello High school and later attended a technical college. Later Phillip went to served in the Marine Core from 2002-2006, with exemplary service. Phillip served 2 tours in Iraq & was honorably discharged from the USMC as a Corporal of Marines with 11 honors. He then became a CDL driver and recently worked for a towing company and a diesel mechanic.
Phillip took pride in being a mechanic, he enjoyed taking drives; cruising, time with his family, a good conversation and or lecturing his sisters. Phillip always had an eye for the beauty in Life, he loved living in California, especially the beach, and lets not forget spending time with his fur baby Athena at the dog park. When spending time with his nieces and nephews he wasn’t Uncle Phillip, he was Auntie Phillip to his nieces Londynn & Aniyah & Naylani.
There was no music that Phillip didn’t like but his favorite was slow jams, classical and R&B. Phillip liked the movies Transformers, Bad Boys (we always said we were all “bad boys for life).” Phillip loved to eat and wasn’t a picky eater, he enjoyed some good food. Phillip always looked at the brighter side of things, even when in turmoil.
On June 6, 2021 heaven gates opened for one of God’s precious children, Philip is preceded in death by his father Phillip II.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Diana, his step-father Levi, his siblings Paris, Nicholas, Destiny, Desaray, and Earl, his grandparents Philip (Buck) Lawrence Tinnin, I, and Wanda Inez Todd, his nieces Londynn & Aniyah & Naylani, his Marine Family and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His love for his special friends will forever be remembered by them all.
