Resolution
for
Sister Mary Swink
To the Family of Sister Mary Swink,
The Pastor, Officers and Members of Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, in
sincerity, extend our deepest sympathy to you and your entire family, in this your hour of
bereavement, caused by the home-going of your loved one, Sister Mary.
Be it resolved, that the death of a loved one always leaves tears in our eyes and pain in
our hearts. So today, we pray for your strength and comfort. May the God of comfort
give you His peace, which surpasses all comprehension.
If you will cast all your sorrow and care upon the Lord, you will never be alone. Sister
Mary, who has gone from you, is not lost, she has gone to rest a little sooner than we
have been privileged.
Be it further resolved, that Sister Mary Swink joined our Church Family on May 9,
1999 and was a devoted and faithful member of her church until her health could no
longer permit.
Be it also resolved, that we encourage you and your entire family to forever cherish her
memory and emulate her admirable traits and look forward with joy to meeting her in her
heavenly home, which she knew was being prepared for her for many years by the
Master. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints”. “For whether we
live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live
therefore, or we die, we are the Lord’s” (Romans 14:8).
Lovingly submitted,
